Iconic — architectural 3D visualization and CGI animation by Saccade studio. Project: Mered, Dubai, 2023. Client: Mered. Project type: residential complex. A high-rise tower with tiered terraces and a warm glass facade — an object that reads from any point in the city. ICONIC Residences is a 66-storey tower by MERED in Dubai Internet City, on Sheikh Zayed Road: almost 290 metres, the tallest building in the district, with architecture and interiors by Pininfarina, the Italian design house that grew out of designing Ferraris and Alfa Romeos. Floors 39–40 hold "sky" amenities with an infinity pool, and the apartments look out to the sea and Palm Jumeirah. We showed Dubai in an unfamiliar light — in the morning fog that rises from the Gulf and hides the city. In the four stills, made in nine days, only the tiers of balconies with warm-lit windows rise above the clouds, while down by the highway the tower stands next to a pair of art deco twin towers.
