Annabel's — architectural 3D visualization and CGI animation by Saccade studio. Project: Palladio, Moscow, 2024. Client: Palladio. Project type: residential complex. Dense urban fabric outside, an intimate courtyard within. Brick, stone, paved walkways and restrained planting form an environment this place did not have before. Annabel's is a club house of nine apartments in Kursovoy Lane, on Moscow's Golden Mile by Ostozhenka, a few minutes' walk from the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. Developed by Palladio, designed by the Paris practice Paris Classical Architecture and adapted by Marks Group, it takes its cue from the London club Annabel's: neoclassicism with contemporary features — floor-to-ceiling windows, French balconies, ground-floor shopfronts with brass profiles and, at the top, a two-level penthouse with a roof patio. The dense surroundings leave almost no room for wide views, so the ten stills we worked on for twenty days are built on detail and light: low sun on stone and ribbed brick, French balconies, a bespoke timber door with a ring handle, a warm shop window on the corner, a red vintage car at the entrance and a woman in a silk dress on the paved passage along the house.
