Skyveil Retreat — architectural 3D visualization and CGI animation by Saccade studio. Project: Kerimov Architects, St. Moritz Lake, 2025. Client: architecture firm Kerimov Architects. Project type: public space. A spa retreat on Lake St. Moritz, Switzerland. A living roof, timber structure and a terrace cantilevered over the water — winner of the AG360 international competition. Skyveil Retreat is a competition design by Kerimov Architects for AG360: a club house with a café, a lounge and a small spa on the shore of Lake St. Moritz, in the mountains of the Engadine. The entry received an honourable mention. The building stretches along the shore like a bird in flight: a wave-like green roof on timber waffle panels, curved glass and a large timber terrace stepping down to the water. In winter the building almost dissolves into the snow — and that is how we showed it in three of the four stills made in five days: from above, over the lake below the resort with its hotels and church spire, yachts at the pier and the reflection in unfrozen water; and in falling snow, with warm light behind the curved glass. The fourth still is a summer dawn over the pool by the green roof, with sailing boats and mountains in the haze.
