For Hadaa we visualized «Montanum» — a residential complex in Innopolis built by a robot. The first automated-construction development in Russia, rising in the country's youngest city. Montanum is a housing quarter in Innopolis meant to be built by a robot. The company Montanum developed an automated masonry system: a lifting mechanism places blocks and delivers mortar up to 17 metres high and, according to its developers, raises two four-storey buildings with 38 flats in 25 days. The architecture for the country's youngest city came from the Moscow practice HADAA Architects, authors of the Yu quarter at the entrance to Innopolis. The buildings became calm grey volumes with a textured, scale-like cladding, hung balconies and orange street lamps that set the rhythm of the courtyards. Six stills, made in eight days, take them through weather and times of day: a wet street in the rain with passers-by under umbrellas, a clear noon with flowering beds, an evening alley at dusk, morning sun through the trees with cyclists by a café, and a courtyard under a high sky.
