Omsk Airport

Omsk Airport — architectural 3D visualization and CGI animation by Saccade studio. Project: Dot.Bureau, Omsk, 2024. Client: architecture firm Dot.Bureau. Project type: airport. An airport terminal in Omsk with full ground-side infrastructure: parking, a landscaped park with ponds, and a rail link to the city. The organic roofline unifies the passenger terminal and boarding wings into a single ensemble. A competition concept for the terminal of Omsk's new Fyodorovka airport, developed by dot.bureau, VLSKV and Saccade for a closed architectural competition. dot.bureau's idea is the terminal as a whirlpool: passengers move through the states of water, from "ice" at check-in to "steam" in the departure lounge. The main facade follows the bends of the Irtysh, and the entrance is sheltered by round concrete canopies that recall ripples on water. We built the images as a passenger's journey: a top-down view where the disc canopies read as droplets, the cockpit on final approach, taxis under the wave of the canopy as a plane passes overhead, the park with its ponds seen from a train window, and a lounge looking out onto the apron. Photorealistic renders, visualizations and archviz for real estate developers and architecture firms worldwide.
