Art-Bar AMAR — architectural 3D visualization and CGI animation by Saccade studio. Project: Saga x Parsec, Baikal, 2024. Clients: architecture firm Saga, Parsec. Project type: public space. An art bar on the hill — part of the AMAR cultural and recreational complex on the eastern shore of Lake Baikal, where architecture exists in dialogue with nature. Timber cladding echoes the surroundings, while warm light within anchors the building between the pine forest and open water. AMAR is a 280-hectare cultural and recreational complex on the eastern shore of Lake Baikal, in the Baikal Harbour special economic zone. In Buryat, "amar" means harmony. The architectural concept is by Parsec; individual buildings are by Saga. For them we visualised the art bar. It is a scatter of faceted pavilions among the pines on a rocky shore, clad entirely — roofs included — in a textured grey skin, with warm pale timber inside. The project's motto is to "whisper rather than shout", and our images follow the same rule. In the stills Baikal changes seasons: sunset over cracked ice, a night under the Milky Way with the openings glowing and reflected in the ice, a sunny day between pine trunks, blue summer water and hoarfrost on the branches — seven states of one place, gathered in nine days.
