New Center

New Center — architectural 3D visualization and CGI animation by Saccade studio. Project: AB Ostozhenka, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, 2024. Client: AB Ostozhenka. Project type: mixed-use complex. Renovation of three residential districts in the centre of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Bright multicoloured facades, covered glass galleries between the blocks and a ski slope on the horizon. A project where colour and light push back against the Sakhalin winter. A concept for a new centre of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk by Ostozhenka (Andrey Gnezdilov, Alexander Skokan, colour by Maria Dekhtyar): the renewal of prefab housing districts at the foot of the Gorny Vozdukh ski resort. Along Gorkogo Street, between Victory Square and Glory Square, a "linear centre" rises — a row of colourful buildings whose lower floors are strung along a covered glass gallery with cafés, shops and mountain views, continued by a bridge over Ankudinova Avenue. A pedestrian skyway leads from the hotel to the lower station of the ski lift. The Sakhalin winter is long and grey, so the project's main tool is colour: pink, red, yellow and purple facades with a triangular pattern and warm light behind the gallery glass. We set that colour against the weather — eight stills in 12 days: the street in autumn rain, reflected in the gallery glass; the glass-floored skyway above the square in evening snow, with the lights of the ski runs on the slope; a purple ribbed facade by a bus stop; a café behind glass in a downpour; the square in the first snow beside a rainbow facade. Photorealistic renders, visualizations and archviz for real estate developers and architecture firms worldwide.
